What we collect and why
When you send an inquiry. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, organization, email address and whatever you write in your message. We use this only to reply to you and to discuss a possible project. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
When you visit the site. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data needed to deliver the pages and keep them secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not set any cookies ourselves. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers that process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosts the website, protects it against abuse and forwards email sent to @bakaudigital.com addresses to our inbox.
- Formspree, Inc. (USA): receives contact form submissions and delivers them to us by email.
Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond and to follow up on a possible project, and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless they become part of a client relationship. Client records are kept as long as Estonian accounting and contract law requires. Technical hosting logs are kept by Cloudflare for a short period in line with its own policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we process it;
- send your data to you or another organization in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you think we have handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Visitors in the United States. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to delete it, using the email address above.
